Sara L. Busche, formerly of Gitlin & Busche, handles divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support enforcement, and paternity cases in McHenry County, Illinois. She understands pursuing divorce is one of the most difficult and emotional decisions you will ever make, especially if you have young children. Sara L. Busche earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University in 1993. She worked for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois as a forensic program coordinator and senior case manager after graduation and until she returned to academia to obtain her Juris Doctor degree. Attorney Busche attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, earning her law degree in 2002. She grew up in Elgin, Illinois and now resides in Woodstock.

In addition to her work as a Woodstock family lawyer, Attorney Busche frequently lectures in continuing legal educational programs for lawyers in the areas of divorce, child related matters, child support, and ethics.
Among other accolades, Attorney Busche is the consulting editor for the LexisNexis Practice Guide Illinois Family Law – 2015 Edition. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a member of the Section of Family Law Publications Development Board of the American Bar Association. Illinois Super Lawyers named her a Rising Star in 2012, a designation reserved for only 2.5 percent of all Illinois lawyers. Attorney Busche is BV rated by Martindale- Hubbell.
